My petoi robot freaks out every time I try to make it walk. One leg doesn't work, and some of the feet don't move. Can someone help me to fix this problem? I followed both the video and written guide.
@DeckyTiller I see the problem. You are connecting the two back leg joints in the wrong direction. The black wires are GND and should be closer to the board.
To compare, your other legs are connected correctly.
To check if a part is broken, you can use the swap technique. Since the servo and controller board should both work to function correctly, you can plug the working servo into the pin of the "bad" servo. You can also plug the "bad" servo into the pin of the good servo.
Have you checked the calibration section of this video?
I plugged the leg into another port and it worked, but when I plugged in a leg that worked before into the port that made the leg not work before it didn't move. Is the port broken or is there another reason behind this?
I checked all the wiring and it was all connected correctly. Is there a chance that some of the parts are broken? Could you also go a little bit more in depth on how I am supposed to use the calibration mode? Could you maybe take a video on how to do it correctly? I didn't get the Bittle pre-assembled, but the leg parts weren't moving from the start.
The servos should move when entering calibration mode, so that you know where the servos are pointing at. Otherwise you cannot calibrate the joints correctly.
For the last video, please check the connection of the back leg servos. Did you get Bittle pre-assembled?
That was the problem, the leg is now working thank you for the help.
Could you check if those pins are well soldered on the board?
Do you have a detailed picture showing your wiring to the ports?

Could you take a video from the side with a parallel perspective?
I want to see:
The posture in calibration mode
The posture in balance mode
How the legs walk when you hold Bittle in the air
The toe cover should be taken off
