Hello everyone. I am trying to follow every step of the tutorial as it is described in the instructions, but I mistakenly bought a Raspberry Pi 4, instead of a Raspberry Pi 3B.
I am using the recommended EBL batteries, and I know the power consumption of RPI 4 is a bit higher than 3, my question is, will this be a problem?
My guess is that it will be able to move and function but for less time, but I want to confirm (I am not the best with electronics).
Thanks for your answers, BTW I am in love with this project :)
Hello Rongzhong Li, Thank you for your answer, I'll post back my results :)
Battery time will be reduced.
A bigger problem is that when the servos are moving in a fast gait (like trotting), they will draw large current and the voltage from battery will drop. With more current draw from Pi 4, it has not been tested whether the power supply on Pi 4 will be unstable and reset. There should be some filters on Pi 4 to stabilize the voltage, but it remains to be tested. And I'm looking forward to your results.
