Hello, I have developed an Android app to control Bittle through Bluetooth. I'ts still in Beta phase, but I think it might be useful for some people.
The .apk file can be downloaded from Github: https://github.com/EnriqueMoran/petoiBittleBluetoothController
You can control your Bittle as if you were using the IR remote controller (it has the same buttons but calibrate).
The instructions to use the App can be found in the Github repo (its very easy, just pair Bittle with your phone and control it from the App).
There are a couple of issues I'm still trying to solve (related to connection).
Please notice this is a Beta version and im still improving it, any suggestion is welcome.
Here there are a couple of gifs using the app:
If anyone need help installing the apk file, I will post a guide here.
app works very well - many thanks😃
Have tried a second bluetooth shield on the bittle and this one works.
The pair light on the shield only goes steady when the app connects to the device not when you pair in in setting/bluetooth.

I have downloaded the APK and installed it, paired the Bittle in bluetooth but when your app tries to connect it fails.
What am I doing wrong.

Yes, there's a fourth robot called customized robot. You can define the keys for Bittle.
That's awesome! It's a more game like interface for users.
Have you tried the code&robots app by @chico.charlesworth ? He has a cool feature to add buttons with customized Bluetooth commands, and a motion scheduler. It would open up more possibilities for users.
I'd like to give it a go. i've only just finished the build of my Bittle, so this would a good first thing to try.
