    Over current protection

    在 Basic Assembly and Setup

    Hi

Trying to connect NyBoard to my computer to upload sketch and software but keep getting the overcurrent protection (Rx led does not turn off and port not opening on the IDE). Tried every solution I could find on the web: changing USB port, updating driver, connecting battery alongside USB etc.... no luck.

Is there anything else that can be done?

    Thanks

    Ofer

If the USB overcurrent protection is triggered, you should also see a notification from Windows.

The connection looks correct. And the LEDs are lighting correctly. Do you have a video to show how the board starts when you connect the cable, and how the servos rotate? Does the buzzer beep?

I think the NyBoard is good, and it's still a problem in the configuration of the serial programmer. Closeup pictures of both sides of the NyBoard will help to confirm that.

Do you have a picture of the uploader as well?

What's the version of your NyBoard? Is it V1_* or V0_*? We have fixed the over-current problem since V1. The problem you see is unlikely to be overcurrent protection of the USB port.

This is the link to download the USB driver.

What's your operating system and how are you connecting the board? Some pictures will provide more information to diagnose the problem.

Thanks for the quick response. The board is NyBoard V1_0, I use windows 10 and connect the board via a regular USB port on my Lenovo laptop (tried two different ports). Will try to update the USB driver and send pictures later today. To make the point better here is a detailed description of the problem: When I plug the board to the USB port via the programmer, the Rx led blinks twice, turn off and after a few seconds turns back on and stays on.

This happens with and without the battery connected to the board. When the battery is connected, one of the servos start moving back and forth. I tried doing it all with no servo connected to the board at all.

In all cases, the option to choose a port in the Arduino IDE (after choosing the Arduino UNO board) is unavailable.

    Thanks

    Ofer
