What made you favor plywood for the Nybble framework?
Have you thought about PMMA (plexiglass) or PVC?
I just did some laser cutting tests!
The PMMA (plexiglass) very pretty, nice finish possible, but very cracking, it's a shame, it could have made a beautiful Turing with leds of colors :)
After research the PVC does not cut with the laser.
What kind of "type" of materials do you use?
The Birch Plywood seems to support laser cutting.
Yes, I’ve been using Baltic birch. But in China it’s not a popular material. I’m looking for replacements.
The modest rigidity vs elasticity, light weight, texture, smell and environment friendliness.
I haven’t tried the other two materials. Functionally they may be hard for the self tapping screws to hold (may crack?)
