I thought it would be fun to integrate the MU3, Bittle, RaspberryPi, and try my own computer vision stuff. I did a little proof of concept to that end. I think the esp32 downsamples the MU3 and sends like 240/180 pixels at 10 frames per second, which I get. I may try plugging a camera into the pi next time instead of going through wifi.

Hi folks. I documented the project here and I hope there's enough details for people to replicate it: https://www.hackster.io/mzandtheraspberrypi/robot-dog-sees-me-64e658
I'll follow up with some more details in the next couple days! I will put together a little blog post/guide.
Amit, you are right that the Bittle starts to move once he sees me. I used a Pi Zero 2 W. I thought it would strike the right balance between size, weight, power consumption, and cpu/memory.
Would really love to replicate the project. Seems that Bittle starts to move once he sees you? Which version of Raspberry Pi did you use for this project?
If you are interested in writing a short writeup for this project, I would welcome that at http://www.learnwitharobot.com
Amazing!
Nice work! Would love to see more details!
